Middlesbrough FC
Brief
Middleborough is a professional association football club based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. Formed in 1876, they have played at the Riverside Stadium since 1995.
After seven years in the Championship league, Middlesbrough secured promotion to the Premier League in 2016 after finishing in second place. The club wanted to provide a Press room/client meeting room equipped with the latest audio visual technology to showcase the club at its best to their clients.
The project was commissioned by MFC via Star Consulting who handled the building upgrade. This aim being to update the outdated existing press room/meeting room with a facility more fitting for a football club in the Premier league. It would be equipped with high quality audiovisual technology, and would be of practical value to both the club and local businesses.

Planning and Installation
Universal worked with interested parties, including the client, consultants, architects and the various trades, all of this was done to a strict no compromise deadline for the beginning of the Premiership football season.
The solution was a dual purpose room with an audio system for end of match press briefings, direct audio feeds for broadcast camera crews. In addition it would have an electric screen, Video projector, audio system and control device for external hire as an excellent presentation facility for interested parties.
The installation was completed by Universal AV Services in July 2016, and took around 2 days. The main challenge faced during the project was the extremely tight deadline with which there was no room for manoeuvre.
Benefits
The benefits to MFC is that now they have a press room which is in keeping with their new Premiership status. Moreover, it is an attractive functional room which can be hired out and enjoyed by local businesses.
