Anaplan Inc. is a cloud-based business, whose mission is to change the manner in which companies around the world align people and plans to market opportunities.
At the core of their technology is a single hub where the business user, and not IT, can build, deploy, maintain, and share models. Founded in 2006 Anaplan, Inc. has headquarters in San Francisco, with offices in England, France, Sweden, Benelux and Singapore. To work in a Global market, across multiple sectors requires strong unified communications and systems.
The Brief:
In June 2014, Universal AV was approached by Paul Anderson of IT Professional Services to provide an AV specification for one of his clients. Universal AV and ITPS had successfully worked on projects before, such as Sunderland Software Centre.
A loose AV brief had been prepared to provide Anaplan, Inc. with an AV system for their new offices at The Bonding Warehouse, York. They wanted a series of display screens to use in their Boardroom, meeting rooms and open collaboration areas that would provide their staff with the facility to have in-house and client based meetings built around the UC (unified communications) platforms they were already using, namely Skype and Fuze. Universal AV met with representatives from Anaplan, Inc. to finalise the exact AV requirements and provide a practical working solution that could combat; several IT platforms, a mixture of PC, MAC and portable devices as well as work wirelessly and be flexible enough to incorporate BYOD (Bring Your Own Device).

Planning and Installation
The installation was completed mid July 2014 at Anaplan, Inc. new offices in the heart of York. From start to finish the project was run across a very tight deadline. Universal AV had to work alongside the builders and fitters to ensure that the new offices were ready and open for business by the end of July, it took three engineers 4 days to complete the installation.
The main challenge was to install AV equipment in to what was essentially still a building site. Due to the tight schedule, a variety of trades were working simultaneously and in close proximity. The Bonding Warehouse is a listed 19th-century building next to Skeldergate Bridge in the heart of the city. Great care had to be taken during the installation to be sensitive to the fabric and nature of the building.
A series of display screens were provided for all areas. Each screen was the same to keep conformity and ease of use, differing only in size dependent on the location. At each screen a hard wire HDMI port was provided along with the WePresent wireless presentation gateway; allowing for the wireless connection of PC, Android and IOS devices.
The audio visual solution installed by Universal AV Services provides Anaplan with a modern, flexible and easy to use AV system which synchronises with their existing IT and UC infrastructure.
